Hi, Alan here.
Flannel Dog Farm is named after two of my favorite things: flannel shirts and dogs. It also reflects our approach to life: comfortable, hard working, warm, and welcoming.
Our farm is a 7 acre homestead in Saybrook, Ohio a mile south of Lake Erie. We raise chickens, ducks, and bees, and we’re a pollinator and bird sanctuary. We have a large vegetable and flower garden, and four acres are devoted to wildflowers and emerging forest.
We host tent campers and have a tiny house and covered wagon where guests can stay. The farm is also home to Copper Leaf Studios, where my wife Chris makes marvelous artwork and hosts a variety of classes and workshops.
I bake sourdough bread and baked goods that are available for purchase. Depending on the season, we also offer eggs, honey, and a variety of produce as available.
